About The Host: On May 15, 2020, we announced a return to the city as a new expansion team for the 2020-21 season. The original Chilliwack Jets junior team played from 1965 to 1971 in the West Coast Junior Hockey League – the precursor to the PJHL – and won the league title in 1970. Thus, paying tribute to our roots, the Chilliwack Jets were reborn. The Jets have always strived to be a staple in the community of approximately 95,000 people, as well as an integral part of our region, the Fraser Valley. We believe in developing hockey players on and off the ice, to become immersed in the community, committed to higher education, and overall complete all-rounded individuals. Being a Jet means that you believe in yourself and have creative thinking and vision, responsibility, and develop yourself socially in the community. Being a Jet also means believing in building character, appreciating compassion, and stimulating personal growth. Supporting team values, taking ownership of your own development and recognizing team strengths. As a program, we believe in helping those who truly want to help themselves. We aid in the pursuit of scholarships, part-time work, volunteer hours and knowledge of the game but the initiative must be there from the players.Jets’ home games are always on Sundays and are action-packed and fun for families to enjoy. If you’ve never been to a Jets home game, you are really missing out on an exciting evening of hard-hitting hockey action. There are lots of prize giveaways every game, as well as numerous draw prizes to be won by entering program contests throughout the year. Every game, a Jr. Jet mini-game takes place, as we support the growth and development of younger hockey players in the community, and with over 180 kids signed up, we truly do help kids succeed in sport! The Jets’ newest addition is hosting Birthday Parties. Enjoy delicious pizza, player autographs, and a Birthday Present for whoever’s celebrating. After the game, some of the Jets players will come to the lobby and be available for fans to get autographs/pictures from the team.
