Emily Romano thought moving her family back to her hometown would be the solution to all of her problems. But when her childhood best friend, the owner of Curl Up and Dye Salon, kills a client with a poisoned permanent solution, Emily finds her troubles are only beginning. Viewed as a failure for returning home, she is compelled to prove her best friend innocent and the townspeople wrong. Emily’s amateur detecting puts her at odds with the local sheriff—her husband—and opens old wounds that both Emily and the town are forced to confront. She must find the killer before her best friend is convicted of the murder and her marriage becomes the killer’s latest victim. Home is where they have to take you in, but if they do, will it result in Permanent Death?
