DNA ran for mayor several times, published several zines and a novel, was mistakenly the editor of three Republican newspapers, worked as an editorial assistant at Magical Blend Magazine, ran a record label, ran a pirate radio station, worked as a DJ at KZFR for five years, created a concert series that ran for 14 years, took over an abandoned turn-of-the-century movie theatre and transformed it into a non-profit community performance space, created some of the largest parties in Northern California including Nowhere X Nowhere that featured 150 bands, a film festival, a guitar expo, a poetry slam, raves and Rock n’ Roll Golf where you putt with a guitar.His first time performing comedy was at a Showtime Comedy Competition where he was introduced by Will Durst and won first place, he then took a 20-year break before starting comedy again in the Bay Area. This culminated in creating several festivals, running a room for 14 years, being on the BOD of Comedy Day in Golden Gate Park (with Will and Debi Durst) for a decade, and ultimately opening DNA’s Comedy Lab in Santa Cruz, CA.
