Meet artist and author Carolyn Ferris, and enjoy the company of Pat Kemeny Macias, Executive Director of monca, who contributed an essay to the book.

Copies of Fantastic Scenes of the Universe are available for purchase at the Museum Shop, make sure to secure your copy and get it signed by the author. 

T-shirts depicting images from the book as well as a limited edition set of art prints will be available for purchase during the event.

About the Book: 
With a fresh contemporary style morphed from pop art and psychedelic influence, Carolyn Ferris’ work invites art lovers, space enthusiasts, and connoisseurs of wine, beer, and spirits to embrace the possibilities 
of connection beyond Earth. 

The journey begins with the first art plate, Galactic Passage, which offers your ticket to board this voyage through the universe. Along the way, you’ll explore characters and space travelers you may one day meet, learning something about their lives or worlds as the art and annotations bring their stories to life.

An Open Eye Books Publishing release, it features 36 annotated art plates, five full-page galaxy artworks, and is edited by Michael Horowitz, archivist and book collector who has co-edited works by Aldous Huxley and Timothy Leary. 

It includes insightful commentary, with a foreword by Roger McNamee—renowned musician, cultural visionary, and art advocate—along with essays by Pat Kemeny Macias—Executive Director of the Museum of Northern California Art (monca)—and John Green—art collector, writer, and musician.
