Through various writing activities and hands on instruction, students will leave with an understanding of how a writer's room functions and how to make their own work series-ready.This workshop runs on TWO CONSECUTIVE days:Saturday, November 8th 10:00am-2:00pmSunday, November 9th 10:00am-2:00pmInstructor: Eric AcostaEric is a ten year veteran of the TV animation industry. His career started in Chicago on the stage, first as a musician, then as an improvisor, and eventually a stand up comic. From there Eric made his way to Los Angeles where he discovered his love for writing. After being a long time contributor to the Channel 101 website and festival, he moved on to television. He’s been fortunate enough to have written on such titles as Rick and Morty, Loud House, Apple and Onion, Megamind, just to name a few. Eric is now passing on what he’s learned via his Writer’s Room Writing class.All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date confirming dates, times and location.REFUND/ROLLOVER POLICY: Full refunds are available any time up to 5 days before the first class commences. If you are not able to attend class and the refund window has closed, we can issue class credits and roll you into a future session. Be open to having a constructive, open conversation about a performance afterwards if the occasion arises.The following is a non-exhaustive list of prohibited conduct:-Physical abuse-Theft/damage/misuse of property: Theft or damage, misuse and unauthorized possession or improper use of personal property; and unauthorized or improper use of, or entry into, theater facilities-Harassment: Threatening, harassing, bullying or intimidating a person, either verbally, in writing or through electronic or other means-Sexual Harassment: Unwanted/unwelcome sexual behavior directed at a person in a physical, verbal or non-verbal form-Drug/alcohol use: Possession, consumption, sale, distribution or use of illicit drugs or outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Additionally, the Lincoln Lodge is a smoke free zone, including vaping/e-cigarettes.-Weapons and hazardous materials: The use, possession or storage of any firearms or weapons; dangerous materials or chemicals are prohibited on the theater premisesConsequences for breaching our Code of Conduct will be dealt with accordingly and may consist of, but not limited to: warnings, apologies, probation, suspension, or even removal from the premises.
