The Bartender Cocktail Classic: First Edition!

Join us for the first edition of Friend of Dorothy Bars' BARTENDER COCKTAIL CLASSIC! Partnering with Maison Ferrand Sprits, we're bringing together six of the top tier queer bartender talent currently working in Chicago hospitality for a night to celebrate the art of cocktail design and beautifully crafted spirits.

Competing in our first edition event are bartenders: Doan Bui, Nicola Tolosa (Double Fun), Noelle McManus (Mott St.), Vee Ifeya, Diana Truong (After) & Becca Peterson (Bambi).

Our competition will unfold in three rounds:

• Signature Cocktails: cocktails designed before the event highlighting preassigned spirits: Citadelle Gin, Plantaray Rum and Ferrand Cognac - served in glassware from The Happy Hour Shop with the option to utilize specialty ice by Quari.
• Spirit & Craft Knowledge Trivia: speed rounds of questions covering the art of cocktail making and Maison Ferrand spirits
• Mystery Ingredient Speed Round: in which bartenders create a cocktail on the spot incorporating Maison Ferrand spirits and a mystery ingredient

Hosted by Dorothy Co-Owner & Creative Director Whitney LaMora with Maison Ferrand representation by Sam Carlton, our judges for the competition include:

• Zoe Schor: Co-Owner of Dorothy & Friend of Dorothy Bars
• Jasmine Santiago: Bar Manager at Dorothy
• Olivia Dehainault: Speed Rack Season 13 National Champion

Doors at 6pm and our competition events kick off at 6:30pm! All guests will get the opportunity sample the Signature Cocktails from each competitor (while supplies last), vote on their favorite and purchase full sized Signature & Dorothy cocktails all night.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical or mobile ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door on Campbell Ave with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799
