Speakers Forum - St. Thomas Aquinas "The Third Way"
Speaker: BRUCE LESPINASSE
In this program, Bruce will explore the thought processes of theologian/philosopher St. Thomas Aquinas as he searched for proof of the existence of God, positing ”possible beings,” those that cease to exist, and “necessary beings,” those that continue to exist. Aquinas' intensive reasoning and interesting conclusion are the focus of this presentation. You will be the judge whether St. Thomas' proofs "hold up" over 700 years later.
HNC Parishioner Bruce Lespinasse holds a B.A. in history & philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. He taught high school history for several years and has given lectures locally on film study as well as architectural tours and presentations on philosophical topics for ACT II.
This program is free and open to all.
Free parking for this event is available in the Loyola Parking Lot located at 20 W. Chicago Avenue, on the north side of the street between State and Dearborn Streets.
