From there, we’ll explore situational awareness in public spaces, environments that feel safe, and settings where violence against marginalized communities can occur. Then we’ll get physical through conditioning, technique, and partner drills, giving you an opportunity to move what you’ve learned from your mind into your body.The goal isn’t to live in fear. Come move. Come build. Come connect!About the Facilitator:Kirby Spivey IV has trained across seven martial arts disciplines over fifteen years, holding a Shidokan black belt. Discovering his Portuguese, Native, and African ancestry as a teen led him to Capoeira, and reclaiming that heritage through martial arts is part of why he's stayed in the practice ever since. He teaches through a lens of community, empowerment, and holistic wellness, drawing on six years as an educator in the Noble network and volunteer work in underfunded communities.
