Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course
Grounded in the science of mindfulness, this eight-week course offers a practical, intensive, experiential exploration of mindfulness is especially recommended for anyone in a high-pressure career, facing a significant life-changing event, care-takers or those struggling with chronic illness, or anyone seeking a more purpose-driven life.
You’ll acquire a real-life toolkit for changing your relationship to stress; becoming a more effective, productive leader; increasing your emotional intelligence; building resiliency; improving relationships; and dealing with the demands of daily life.
This MBSR program, originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, at UMass Medical Center, is taught by formally trained facilitator Ashley Nelson (graduate from UC San Diego, School of Medicine, MBSR Training), who invites you to experience the complete, evidence-based MBSR curriculum in Chicago this spring.
Schedule: Eight Monday evening classes April 22–June 17 (No Class on Memorial Day), 5:45 - 8:15 PM; one full-day retreat, Saturday, June 1, 2019
