Melanated in America Presents: The 6th Annual M.I.A Kwanzaa Celebration

The 6th Annual M.I.A Kwanzaa Presentation, dedicated to honoring the principle of Kujichagulia – Self-Determination. This event uplifts Black culture, community, artistry, and the everyday application of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa.

3:00–4:00 PM — Kwanzaa Program

• Storytelling
• Candle Lighting Ceremony
• Special Guest Keynote Speaker

4:00–5:00 PM — “Rock Your Culture” Fashion Show
Featuring designers and fashion creatives who spotlight culture-centered apparel and demonstrate how to proudly wear your heritage every day.

5:00–7:00 PM — Open Mic & Networking Mixer
A space for spoken word artists, vocalists, musicians, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community members to connect and share their gifts.

This celebration is designed to:

• Honor the traditions and heritage of Kwanzaa
• Introduce new audiences to the Seven Principles
• Inspire families and communities to live these principles daily, not just during the holiday season
• Build collective pride, unity, and empowerment among melanated people

Our Kwanzaa Celebration is open to all ages and welcomes individuals, families, youth, elders, creatives, and community builders.

We invite African drummers, dancers, performers, designers, models, artists, vendors, photographers, videographers, and cultural educators to participate.
