# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Lenten Teaching Mass
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 05 Apr, 2025 at 05:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Are you looking to learn more about the mass in this season of Lent? Have you ever wondered where certain parts of the mass come from and how the mass as it is now became to be? Have you ever wanted to ask why the priest adds water to the wine? What does the sign we make before the Gospel mean? Now is your chance to learn and ask questions! Our Pastor Father Steve will be hosting a Teaching/Explanatory Saturday Vigil mass.

The event begins at 5:00pm and will begin with a brief explanation of the history of mass. We will then have a Saturday Vigil Mass, but Father Steve will stop at appropriate times during the mass to explain what he is doing and why. After mass, we will open the floor to questions you may have that were not covered. All questions are welcome. This is a great time for everyone to learn more about mass and I guarantee at least one other person is wondering the same thing you are! Depending on what time we finish, we will be having a social afterwards.

This event is open to everyone at the Parish, so feel free to invite anyone, young adult or not! This is a unique event, so be sure to come!
