Laugh & Link Wednesdays!

What this is

Part comedy show, part meetup, part “I can’t believe they said that.” We bring together comedians, tech folks, creatives, founders, and curious humans for a fast, friendly night where you actually meet people… and laugh hard doing it.

Format (tight, fun, on time)

• Stand-Up Comedy: Come watch an engineer do comedy (he might bring his other comic friends)
• Skits / Demos: short bits, product or art demos, playful experiments
• Crowd Intros: everyone who wants gets 1-2 minutes on stage. We may or may not be scouting for material to roast you with
• Career Confessions: anonymously submit a spicy work story or lesson—we’ll read the best ones on stage
• Actual Networking: structured mingling so you leave with 3–5 new contacts (not just a lukewarm handshake)

Who should come

Comedians, creators, tech & startup people, product/design/engineering, marketers, filmmakers, students, job seekers, hiring managers, and anyone who likes jokes with their networking.

How the anonymous confessions work

Scan the QR to get to the from, drop your confession (totally anonymous), and our host reads selected entries between sets. Fun, cathartic, and occasionally unhinged—keep it real, keep it kind.

Supportive room • no disrespectful heckling • short and punchy sets • inclusive & respectful of all backgrounds

When & Where

• Time: 8:00–10:00 PM, 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month (doors 7:30 PM)
• Venue: The Pocket at Surge (Logan Square), Chicago
• Transit: Easy access via CTA; street parking in the neighborhood

Tickets

• General Admission: Show + networking
• Performer/Presenter: If you’d like a 3–5 min stand-up spot or a short skit/demo (limited)
• Supporter: Pay-it-forward to help cover space & community costs

Bring

A friend, a 1-2 min intro, and business cards/QRs/LinkedIn ready. Optional: a 3–5 minute bit or demo.
