The Hyde Park Academy All-Class Cooke will take place this year, on Saturday, August 8. Our class will be set up between 59th and 60th Streets, just west of Ellis Avenue by 10:00 a.m. in the Midway Plaisance running through the University of Chicago in Hyde Park. 

The Alumni Committee wants to let you know we have decided to do things differently, less formally this year, than in the past.

We will  set up some tables under canopies to protect you from the sun, but we ask that you:

1. Bring your own chair! This is very important as we are not providing chairs this year. 

2. Bring your own food, or be prepared to purchase what’s available or order your food online.

3. ATTENDANCE IS FREE!! NO tickets will be for sale this year! But please use the form in my next post, coming soon, to register, so we’ll be expecting you.

4. Try to get there by 12:00 noon for a FORMAL GROUP PHOTO, which will cost $20 for your copy.

5. Water bottles and t-shirts will be available for sale.

6 . If you want to donate to our committee, please send donations via Zelle to aitchpe69@gmail.com.

The All-Class Cookout is a great time to see, not only your fellow Class of 1969 members, but schoolmates from other classes, some even from the mid-1950’s, and especially, people from 1965, 1966, 1967, and 1968. We also get to meet younger people from recent classes, as we can walk around, and some of them make their way to our side of the park, just to meet, greet, and express their appreciation to us for paving the way.
