Moving to Chicago in 2011, Jackson found a new home in the local music scene- performing/recording frequently, and touring internationally as a bassist. In the wake of 2020 Jackson was able to emerge as a songwriter and singer in his own right. Major influences (and common covers) include Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Chet Baker, and Carole King. Jackson Jay Kidder's Debut EP 'Standing By' and other recent releases are streaming now on all major platforms. Jackson is joined by frequent collaborator Doug Ferdinand on the keyboard.
