Palmer Square Park, 2200 North Kedzie Avenue, Chicago, United States
Please join me for a strength-building Flow Yoga Class in beautiful Palmer Square Thursdays until it is too cold to meet outside.
Classes will be held at the east side of the park near Kedzie. If the forecast is below 60 degrees or showing chance of rain at 20% or higher, class will be moved to Google Meet. You do not need to have a Google account to attend. I will e-mail attendees the link 3 hours in advance.
We are outside, but COVID measures should still be recognized. Mats will be placed a minimum of 6 feet apart and masks should be worn until settled on one's mat. The class will be formatted as to not require props. Please bring your own mats, props, and water. If you do not have access to a mat, I encourage you to use a large towel or practice in the grass.
I am a certified yoga instructor, teaching mainly Vinyasa and/or Flow Yoga focusing on the connection of breath to movement. I have been practicing yoga fairly regularly for the past 7 years and have been deepening my practice for the last 2, adding in regular meditation, journaling, and a more consistent practice. This summer, I received my certification through the Yoga and Ayurveda Center in East Stroudsburg, PA.
I aspire to provide a safe space for beginners who may have been hesitant to practice yoga in the past. I do not chant, I do not say namaste, but I do discuss the power of positivity, gratitude, kindness, compassion, and mindfulness. I do a lot of verbal cuing of the asanas (as I am not currently physically adjusting students due to COVID) and guiding of the breath. Options will be provided to more experienced yoga practitioners. I hope you will choose to practice with me soon. Love and light! - Nancy
