Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter), a struggling young actress meets her idol Margo Channing (Bette Davis), a highly regarded but aging Broadway megastar. Taking pity on the Eve, Margo takes Eve as her personal assistant, exposing her the behind-the-scenes ropes and introducing her to the who’s who of Broadway. But from the moment ambitious Eve glimpses at Margo, Before long, it becomes apparent that naïve Eve cold-bloodedly uses Margoand strives to upstage her by cunningly stealing Margo’s role and disrupting the lives of anyone close to the actress. All About Eve examines identity, sexism and ageism in regards to fame and success. A commanding depiction of show business and backstage life of Broadway and the New York Theater.
