Experience the debut of a powerful new solo show from one of Chicago's favorite storytellers, in an intimate performance at a pop-up theater in one of Chicago's legendary Irish pubs.
DEALBREAKER BY LAUREN KEE
Growing up, Lauren always believed adulthood would be filled with fun dating experiences, flings, and eventually, true love. But on her quest to live out that dream, she gets… herpes. In this show, Lauren blends vulnerable storytelling with comedy to share what it's like dating with herpes, handling disclosure, and the path to healing. It's a story of stigma, self-discovery, and hope. This show is for anyone who's ever feared they might die alone because of herpes or anything else.
Directed by Francesca Sobrer.
Creative consultation by Lisa Burton.
