Confluence Overview

Hosted by AVAIL, Confluence brings together design technology leaders from top architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms and product management leadership from key AEC technology companies. It is our goal to provide an environment where timely conversations can influence short-term development and implementation goals. Each event is themed and provides a facilitated series of presentations, group discussions and opportunities to engage.

Chicago 2026

Following our signature, three-day event Confluence Lexington in the fall, Confluence Chicago is a single-day event that will explore how we can elevate the dialog between technology platforms at AEC industry firms. Our day will begin at SOM’s offices in Chicago with a catered breakfast, followed by two education sessions. We'll enjoy lunch together on site before finishing the programming for the day with two more educational sessions. Then, we'll head to a social event within walking distance.

AEC Platforms: Elevating the Dialog

Within AEC industry firms, technology platforms all too often exist as disparate silos of information. Confluence Chicago will explore how we can increase the dialog between various platforms, reducing redundancy and bringing the silos together in new ways.
