Chicago's 112th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting 2025-26
The 112th Annual Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting is scheduled for Friday November 21 2025 at 6:00 PM in Millennium Park. The ceremony will officially kick off the holiday season in the city and feature the illumination of the official Christmas Tree by the Mayor along with music and other festive elements. The tree will remain lit through Thursday January 8 2026.

Chicago’s “official” Christmas tree in Millennium Park will shine brightly near Michigan Ave. and Washington St. intersection from November 21 through January 8.

What to Expect:
The official illumination of the Christmas Tree. 
Performances by various groups and artists. 
Fireworks and a festive atmosphere for thousands of attendees. 
A traditional countdown to the lighting.
