When your head hits the pillow at night you wonder if life would be easier if you were just like them.Tonight’s dance is an opportunity to form your own community, to confront that voice in your head that wishes you weren’t so different. You do not need to be queer to play.Players will portray characters going to an all monster highschool. Each character is a different type of monster (vampire, werewolf, cryptid, merfolk, etc). Throughout the LARP players will dance, mingle, and confide in one another. The goal is that each character will come to terms with their insecurities and feel proud to be a monster by the end of the dance.Conversation based larp, with music and dancing provided to fully represent a school dance setting. Dancing is not required.A short workshop will occur beforehand to go over safety mechanics, intended tone, and an opportunity to negotiate character relationships.Knowledge of the Monster High universe not required! Setting is purely inspired by it and all relevant setting information will be included in your sheets.Costuming heavily encouraged, you’ll be playing a monster at a dance!
