Due to recent federal funding cuts many of the innovative cancer trials the foundation helps support—led by Northwestern’s world-renowned Director Dr. Leonidas Platanias—are now in jeopardy. These are the same clinical studies that have brought new hope to countless families here in Chicago and across the world.The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation was founded on the belief that “philanthropy is the medicine of the soul.” Through the compassion and strength of our community they have raised millions to advance discovery and treatment for all cancers. Yet the need is greater than ever.
