Finding Divine Ecstacy in Artistic Expression

Art as Zikr is an international, in-person Sufi interfaith conference in Milan, Italy, exploring the relationship between art, spirituality, and remembrance (zikr). Hosted by the Inayatiyya, an interfaith Sufi order active worldwide, this two-day gathering brings together spiritual teachers, artists, and thinkers from different traditions.

At a time of global uncertainty, artists and spiritual visionaries stand at the threshold of change, opening new ways of seeing, sensing, and understanding. Art, like prophecy and wisdom traditions, invites us beyond surface appearances into the depths of meaning, beauty, and mystery.

Through talks, reflection, collectve Dhikr (remembrance), sacred chanting, music and shared inquiry- participants will explore creativity as a spiritual path-toward the hidden centre of the self. In this process, art becomes zikr: a living act of remembrance that leads us toward harmony, imagination, and encounter with the Divine Artist, al-Musawwir.

Fees

There is an early bird discounted fee of 250 euros for sign ups by end February. Thereafter it will be 300 euros, you will be contacted via email on payment details.
