Time for our 8th annual Loy Krathong Festival at Free Bird Cafe!
Join us with Mint and Bird of Saipa Fire Arts for an educational, sustainable Loy Krathong making workshop. A note on the environment and sustainability, you can make the gorgeous, meaningful Krathong (flower boat) and use for display in your home, instead of floating on the river, but if you do go to the river, best to use sustainable, biodegradable materials that we will provide.
200b for adults and 100b for kids, all materials included.
The cafe will serve a full menu of food and drink, so we can join in a community dinner after, while watching a Traditional Royal Thai dance, with fire! This is a very special, unique cultural celebration from the Lanna Tribe and usually reserved for performance at Loy Krathong.
Loy Krathong is a sacred day in Thailand to honor the spirit of water and the whole city will be festive and beautiful, we look forward to sharing this joy with you.
No need to register in advance, just show up on time or early if you want to eat first.
