TOUR ITINERARY :
Our first night will be at Satna, a small city located in the northeastern part of Madhya Pradesh, to take some rest before we embark on the journey to Khajuraho. The city is situated on the banks of the Tamsa River and is surrounded by lush green forests, which makes it a beautiful destination for nature lovers. Satna is known for its rich history, religious significance, and natural beauty. The city has been mentioned in ancient Hindu scriptures like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. According to legend, the city was founded by the legendary King Shatrughna, who was the younger brother of Lord Rama. In the 19th century, Satna was ruled by the British, and many colonial buildings still stand in the city.
We will be checking in at Khajuraho and stay there for 3 nights to cover the UNESCO sites and the evening Dance Festival. Soak in the mesmerizing wonders of Khajuraho while staying in the classy MPT Payal. Ideally located very close to the Western group of Temples, which is about 500 meters from the hotel. The Western group of Temples serve as the background for the Dance festival. The Hotel has a swimming pool.
From Khajuraho we will be going on a day trip to cover Orchha & Jhansi, one day.
Orchha was founded in the 16th century by Bundela Rajput chief Rudra Pratap Singh, who established it as the capital of the kingdom. The city remained significant through the reigns of various rulers, including Raja Madhukar Shah, who built the Raja Mahal, and Raja Vir Singh, who constructed the Jahangir Mahal for a visit by the Mughal emperor. Despite later being incorporated into the British Raj as a princely state, Orchha's historic architecture, including palaces, temples, and cenotaphs (chhatris), remains remarkably preserved.
Jhansi's history is dominated by the 1857 Indian Rebellion, led by Rani Lakshmibai, and the construction of the iconic Jhansi Fort in 1613 by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deo. Originally named Balwantnagar, the city was the capital of the Maratha-ruled princely state of Jhansi. The British annexed it in 1854 under the Doctrine of Lapse, but after the rebellion began, Rani Lakshmibai recaptured it before she was eventually defeated and killed in 1858.
ACCOMMODATION :
1) At MPT Hotel Bharut at Satna. Check in on Feb 23. Check out Feb 24. The hotel is at a distance of 2.5kms from Satna Station. Standard AC Rooms with attached bath.
2) At MPT Hotel Payal, Khajuraho (or equivalent property). Check in on Feb 24. Check out on Feb 27. This hotel is 120 kms from Satna. Driving time 3hours 30minutes. Deluxe Double bed rooms. All rooms may not be same.
FOOD PLAN :
From Dinner on February 21 to breakfast on February 25-. Food will be at our designated places and can be at dhabas along the highways and not always at your place of stay. This will depend on the time and place. Decision taken by us regarding this is final and binding on all group members.
CONVEYANCE :
1) Satna Station to Hotel Bharut by Auto/Toto
2) All other transfers and sight seeing by reserved AC Vehicle

2) For sightseeing guests will have to walk from the parking point of vehicles. Please note at the Khajuraho Dance Festival area, there may be NO ENTRY signages. Accordingly we have to walk if required.
3) If the Dance Festival does not take place on the days of our stay in Khajuraho or is called off by the Organising Committee, we are not liable for such action and no refunds can be made either in part or in whole of the package charge

2. Balance 50% before 90 days of the day of journey
CANCELLATION POLICY :
1. 30% of package charge for any cancellation made at any time before 120 days of the date of journey
3. 60% of package charge for any cancellation made between 60 and 119 days of the day of journey
4. 100% of package charge for any cancellation made between 0 and 59 days of the day of journey
