Dive Challenge: Easy dive conditions. Visibility is usually great, little current, you can enjoy all dives with an Open Water Diver certification. Great for new Open Water divers or advanced divers who enjoy relaxing dives and looking at fish!
Comfort Level: This trip is built for peak ease and comfort! You can expect 1st world amenities, to communicate easily in English, and little culture shock.
Guests arriving at Cancun or Tulum airports can enjoy a smooth, air-conditioned van transfer directly to Mahahual, with bilingual drivers and door-to-door service. The journey from Cancun takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours, while the drive from Tulum is shorter at around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Vans are spacious, comfortable, and equipped for long-distance travel.
Banco Chinchorro is Mexico’s largest coral atoll and a protected biosphere reserve, offering pristine reefs, historic shipwrecks, and encounters with sharks, rays, and even crocodiles.
Reaching it requires a 1.5 hour boat ride from Mahahual, in a small boat with moderate to rough seas.
