Poetry In Motion

Poetry In Motion is a two-hour workshop using yoga and meditation to let go of the thinking mind and move deeper into our subtle bodies allowing space to access a free form writing practice.

Beginning with a 60-minute slow flow, you will then be guided through a meditation to free the inner critic and connect with the expression centers of the body. The class will then come together to feel the energy and movement of words through poetry. This is a written practice with guided prompts. No writing experience is necessary. This workshop is devoted to the energy of words where we let go of grammar and form, focusing more on the heartbeat inside our voice. No one is required to share, but there will be an opportunity to release your words within our safe container. We’ll provide you with high-quality journals and pens to support your writing experience.
