Day 1, Out through Holymoorside and down into Two Dales via Back-Lane to pick-up the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail to Rowsley. Bakewell via Coombs Farm thence by the Monsal Trail to Topley Pike. Up-and-over via Highstool lane and the 'Midshires Way' to pick-up the end of the High Peak Trail at Pomeroy. Via the trail to drop off at Hartington for an overnight camp at Hulme End next to The Manifold Inn on one of the campsites.. 
38 miles of lanes, tracks and trails. 3694ft ascent.

Day 2 South via the sublimely beautiful Manifold trail- (perhaps a paddle in the stream?) via Ilam Hall to join the southern end of the Tissington Trail. North towards Newhaven then across on the tracks down into Elton and Winster. Descent down Clough Lane into Darley Bridge to join the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail again to Rowsley for a return up Beeley Hill and the long descent of Harewood Road back into Chesterfield.
44 miles. 3620ft ascent.
