This one is about the people who should still be here.

On Sunday 13th September, riders from across the UK will make their way towards Burton upon Trent with one shared purpose: to remember and honour members of our UK Armed Forces community who have tragically lost their lives to suicide.

And Chesterfield will be riding with us.

Emily will lead the Chesterfield Team into Burton upon Trent, where riders from towns and cities across the country will come together at Coopers Square Car Park, 19-25 Underhill Walk, Burton On Trent, DE14 1DE (w3w jazzy.cross.ocean)

Then, at 9:30am, we ride as one.

Hundreds of engines. One convoy. One message.

We will escort the founders of the Elysium Memorial Foundation to the National Memorial Arboretum for the unveiling of a memorial created to ensure those lost are remembered.

But this ride is about more than remembering those we have already lost.

It is about the person struggling silently today.

The veteran who came home but never truly left the battlefield behind.

The serving member of our Armed Forces who feels they have nowhere to turn.

The families who have had to learn how to live with an empty chair, an unanswered phone and a name they would give anything to hear one more time.

We cannot bring their loved ones home.

But we CAN make sure they are never forgotten.

And we can make enough noise that somebody, somewhere, who is struggling might realise that they do not have to face it alone.

That is why we need Chesterfield.

We want to see that car park filled with bikes at 7:30am. We want to see riders bringing their friends, their families and their riding groups. We want Chesterfield to arrive in Burton as one.

Because when all of our regional teams finally meet, it won’t matter what patch you wear, what you ride or where you’ve travelled from.

We’ll be there for the same reason.

For those we lost.
For those left behind.
And for those we might still be able to reach.
