Then join us for a foundation navigation session at The Bothie, Sutton Scarsdale. Learn the basics of map and compass navigation and how to apply this into your trail running mind-set.

The first 90 minutes will be theory based and then we swiftly transition to putting this into practice outdoors. You will learn;

⦁ Map features and symbols
⦁ Locating yourself on the map using the clues around you
⦁ Compass bearings and moving on bearings
⦁ Relocating yourself
⦁ Following a route

This 4 hour course will be led by Jamie Glazebrook, a mountain leader with 30 years’ experience of trekking and mountaineering and over 70 ultra-trail race finishes. Each course will be limited to 6 participants in order to fully embed the skills taught.
