Chesterfield, in partnership with RedKey Realty, will host a variety of recycling efforts:
Paper Shredding (actual shredding will be done off site - maximum of 5 paper boxes per vehicle).
Electronics & small appliances (additional charge may apply - list of fees is on the website)
New/used clothing, linens, blankets, towels, belts, shoes, purses
Clean, folded fabric, yarn
Latex Paint Only (Check website for Criteria Sheet)
St. Louis County residents will receive their first 30 lbs free. After 30 lbs, the fee will be $1 per pound to recycle. Businesses are excluded from the recycling as it is for individual residents only. Please check criteria sheet for what is accepted.
American Flag recycling.
In addition, there will be plants, seeds, trees and compost giveaways.
Free native trees will be available courtesy of MO Department of Conservation.
Jost Greenhouse Wildflower giveaway for butterflies and pollinators.
Butterfly-Hummingbird native wildflower seeds giveaway.
Composting will be given away in 3 - 5-gallon bags or containers (total of 15 gallons per vehicle) of compost on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please provide bags or a container for hauling.
Chesterfield Citizens Environmental Advisory Committee (CCEAC) will have a tabletop of informational material.
