Then hop down the road to the HVYFC Farmer gathering at 3pm!About this EventJoin us to understand the purpose of high tunnels, basic construction and terminology, pests and diseases to watch out for and manage, and growing winter greens. We have seven tunnels at Rise & Root Farm, from various suppliers and sources (NRCS, self bought). We'll talk about all things high tunnel as you tour ours.This event does take place on a working farm with uneven ground and fields that are surrounded by ditches. Please be safe as you walk.Travel stipends of $50 are available to attendees. Snacks provided.IMPORTANT NOTE: Farm workshops are canceled in cases of extreme weather (i.e. thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes). We're always watching the weather and will keep everyone updated as to cancellations due to weather.
