That is why we would like to share a film that speaks about humanity, cultural resilience, and hope — even in the most difficult times.Shchedryk is a feature film directed by Olesia Morgunets-Isaienko (122 minutes), presented in Ukrainian with English subtitles. At the heart of the story is the world-famous Ukrainian carol “Carol of the Bells”, composed by Mykola Leontovych.The film follows the intertwined lives of Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish, and Russian characters during the turbulent years of the 20th century, shaped by Soviet repression, Nazi occupation, and the realities of war. Through these personal stories, the film explores how dignity, compassion, and human warmth can survive even in the darkest circumstances.The screening is charity-based and takes place with registration and a suggested donation.We sincerely thank the film’s producer Taras Bosak for making this screening possible.Together with the Ukrainian film community, we also invite you to support a fundraiser for a new volunteer minibus “Shchedryk.” The original bus, which delivered humanitarian aid across Ukraine, was destroyed during shelling.
