Meadow Blues family… this one means a lot.
If you’ve listened to Eric Lindell, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
And if you haven’t yet, trust me — you will after hearing him at Meadow Blues.
What a way to kick off Super Bowl weekend than with soul, blues, rock and a voice that grabs you from the very first note.
The first song I heard by Eric was “Give It Time,” and I was instantly hooked. You know that bucket list people talk about?
Yeah… Eric Lindell playing Meadow Blues was on mine.
And I’ll admit it — I’m giddy.
Eric’s music has been described by USA Today as “pumping soul into funk, blues, and roots-rock.” His sound pulls from 1970s blues-rock, soul, and R&B — that blue-eyed soul vibe often mentioned alongside artists like Van Morrison. He’s played stages big enough for Late Night with Conan O’Brien, but on this night, he’s bringing that magic right here, up close, for us.
🎸 Opening the night is Tony Magee, an accomplished guitarist and songwriter who has been making music his entire life. After reconnecting in Chicago with two college friends, Tony formed the trio Alice Drinks the Kool Aid, setting the perfect tone to start the evening.
