This holiday season, gather the family and experience the joy, hope, and heart of one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals ANNIE! There is something especially magical about experiencing Annie during the holiday season. With its timeless message of hope, family, optimism, and believing in a brighter tomorrow, this heartwarming story is the perfect way to celebrate the season together. Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie became a worldwide phenomenon and won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Featuring a beloved book and score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin, the show includes some of musical theatre’s most recognizable songs, including “Tomorrow,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Maybe,” “Little Girls,” and “Easy Street.” Set in 1930s New York City, Annie follows a spirited young orphan whose optimism remains unshaken despite a difficult start. Determined to find the parents who left her at an orphanage run by the unforgettable Miss Hannigan, Annie sets off on an adventure that ultimately leads her to billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his secretary Grace Farrell, and, of course, a lovable dog named Sandy. A SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION This professional production is produced by the Sugar Loaf Arts Collective in collaboration with Core Theatre Company, Greenwood Lake Theater Company, the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts, and Diamond Grade Media, bringing together professional artists, performers, designers, technicians, musicians, and talented young performers from throughout our community. FEATURING A LIVE ORCHESTRA Adding to the magic of this year’s production, Annie will be performed with a LIVE ORCHESTRA, bringing its iconic Broadway score to life on the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center stage.
