Our next Monthly History Talk is The History of Bushy Park and its unique wildlife – Rebecca Harvey

The history of Bushy Park spans many centuries and because for the most part it has been protected by its royal status it has remained untouched, with its history visible for us to see. There are aspects of medieval farming, obviously the Tudors hunting and camps from both world wars. The 1,000 acres of parkland, has unique flora and fauna because of this historical use. It is a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) with significant populations of rare insects, large numbers of ancient trees growing, and extensive areas of rare acid grassland habitat. This talk from the Friends of Bushy and Home Parks will share the amazing highlights with you.
