Chesapeake Community Day – Explore Ways to Play!

July is National Park and Recreation Month, and the theme this year is “Build Together, Play Together.” At Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism, we’re proud of our vibrant community whose dedication helps us create better places and experiences to play.

To celebrate, please join us for Chesapeake Community Day where you can participate with food trucks, music, games, children’s activities, and opportunities to meet and speak with staff from different Parks, Recreation and Tourism segments of the department, as well as to explore our Visitor Center and discover ways you can play.

We have Chesapeake merchandise and resources available to help you live your best life, whether you're playing in Chesapeake or somewhere in our region and state! Please stop by and learn more about Chesapeake, the region and state, and the many programs, activities, and events our department offers, along with more than 85 parks and specialty facilities.
