ARGIES: Gegründet wurde die Band im Jahr 1984. Obwohl ihre Wurzeln im britischen Punk der siebziger Jahre zu finden sind, weist ihre Musik heute Einflüsse von Ska, Reggae, Dub und eine gute Portion Rock'n'Roll-Elemente und Latin-Rhythmen auf. 
Die Band funktioniert wie eine kollektive Gruppe von engagierten Musikern, die mit der gleichen Freiheit, die die Arbeit in der Band kennzeichnet, in die Argies ein- und ausgehen. Die besondere Art und Weise, wie die Band Musik macht, hat Argies im Laufe der Jahre zu einer wirklich unabhängigen kulturellen Bewegung gemacht. 
Seit 1999 hat die Band regelmäßig ausgedehnte Tourneen in Südamerika, Europa und der ganzen Welt gespielt. Es ist nicht einfach, die genaue Anzahl der Konzerte zu bestimmen. Mit den Toten Hosen haben sie zwischen 1997 und 2018 mindestens 13 Mal die Bühne geteilt.
