In Britten's unique style, the music, scored for choir, tenor solo and chamber orchestra, blends traditional and modern elements.

Alongside this, Haydn’s joyous Missa Sancti Nicolai features elegant melodies, rich harmonies, and lively rhythms, demonstrating Haydn’s mastery of sacred music in a celebratory, devotional style.

Cantores Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, are joined by the Bristol Ensemble, singers from the Beauregard Youth Choir and soloists James Gilchrist, Hannah Davey, Hannah Beddoe and Aiden Smith.
