Joignez-vous à nous pour une soirée funky, satirique et soul avec cette nouvelle collaboration musicale du musicien et artiste révolutionnaire Josh Dolgin. Né à Chelsea et basé à Montréal, cet artiste est reconnu pour son style musical unique qui mêle le klezmer à d'autres styles musicaux. Cette fois, Josh s'associe au clarinettiste et arrangeur Juan Gabriel Olivaras, ainsi qu'à la voix d'un violon et d'un cymbalum. Jouant de l'accordéon et du piano, Josh est un conteur qui transmet avec brio son amour de la musique yiddish à travers son interprétation unique des chants, rythmes et styles vocaux traditionnels des Juifs ashkénazes d'Europe centrale et orientale.

Lorsqu'il ne fait pas de musique, il donne des conférences sur la musique à l'Université McGill où il enseigne une introduction à la musique juive.

Join us for an evening of funkiness, satire & soul in this new musical collaboration by genre-busting musician and artist Josh Dolgin. This Chelsea born, Montreal based artist is known for his unique style of music that blends klezmer with other musical styles. This time, Josh has joined forces with clarinetist and arranger Juan Gabriel Olivaras, and the voice of a violin and a cimbalom. Playing accordion and piano, Josh is the storyteller who deftly spreads his love of Yiddish music through his unique take on the traditional song, rhythms and vocal styles of the Ashkenazi Jews of Central and Eastern Europe.

When he’s not making music he’s talking music at McGill University where he teaches an introduction to Jewish music.
