𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐖𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐇:
Fans of Canadian music from the late 1980s/early 1990s are likely familiar with The Grapes Of Wrath, whose 60s inspired harmonies were a staple on Canadian radio, Much Music and Musique Plus. Songs such as “Peace Of Mind”, “What Was Going Through My Head”, “You May Be Right”, Backward Town”, “I Am Here”, and “All The Things I Wasn’t” - along with relentless touring - helped the band earn a gold and 2 platinum album certifications. 

Formed in 1978 when Kevin and Tom - along with Tom’s brother Chris on drums - began playing together in the Hooper’s basement when Kevin and Chris were 13 and Tom was just 10. Between 1984 and 1992 the band released and EP and 4 albums, moving from first label Nettwerk Productions to an international deal with Capital/EMI.

The band disbanded in 1992, but Tom and Kevin revived the Grapes in the late 90s for the album “Field Trip” (2000) and welcomed Chris back to the fold in 2010, performing and occasionally recording ever since.
While the band still work together, Kevin and Tom have started performing as an acoustic duo, featuring reworked versions of the band’s hits, album deep cuts, and even a few new numbers to enthusiastic audiences eager to hear their old favourites and the stories behind the songs.

À PROPOS DU GROUPE : 
Les amateurs de musique canadienne de la fin des années 1980 et du début des années 1990 connaissent sans doute The Grapes Of Wrath, dont les harmonies inspirées des années 60 étaient incontournables à la radio canadienne, sur Much Music et Musique Plus. Des chansons telles que « Peace Of Mind », « What Was Going Through My Head », « You May Be Right », « Backward Town », « I Am Here » et « All The Things I Wasn't » - ainsi que des tournées incessantes - ont permis au groupe d'obtenir un disque d'or et deux disques de platine. 

Le groupe s'est formé en 1978 lorsque Kevin et Tom, accompagnés du frère de Tom, Chris, à la batterie, ont commencé à jouer ensemble dans le sous-sol des Hooper. Kevin et Chris avaient alors 13 ans et Tom seulement 10 ans. Entre 1984 et 1992, le groupe a sorti un EP et quatre albums, passant de son premier label, Nettwerk Productions, à un contrat international avec Capital/EMI.

Le groupe s'est séparé en 1992, mais Tom et Kevin ont relancé les Grapes à la fin des années 90 pour l'album « Field Trip » (2000) et ont accueilli Chris à nouveau dans le groupe en 2010. Depuis, ils se produisent et enregistrent occasionnellement. Bien que le groupe continue de travailler ensemble, Kevin et Tom ont commencé à se produire en duo acoustique, proposant des versions retravaillées des tubes du groupe, des morceaux moins connus de leurs albums et même quelques nouveaux titres à un public enthousiaste, impatient d'entendre leurs anciens succès et les histoires derrière les chansons.
