Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, Hackman's Lane, Chelmsford, United Kingdom
Join us at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome as we celebrate its role in the Second World War.
During this time, RFC and RAF Stow Maries were long gone, and the site had reverted to its traditional role - that of a farm under the careful watch of the Turner family and Flambirds Farm.
Revisiting this intreprid time, join the Living Historians as they delve into the life of members of the Women's Land Army, the Women's Volunteer Service and the daunting and powerful County War Agricultural Executive Committee of Essex!!

The material is supported by research and aviation archaeology and concludes with surviving evidence of the sacrifice made by Maldon people and VE Day celebrations.
