With a series of 'Added Value' events - where admission fees are the same as regular entry, but you can enjoy our brilliant museum with just a little bit 'extra'. All at no extra cost.Remember, for Added Value events, young people under 11 years in age are Admission Free, and for this particualr one - your ticket covers both days! Yup - if you come on the Saturday, you can come in on the Sunday, with no extra cost!THIS EVENT: The Stow Maries Family Nature DayNot just a museum. Not just an aerodrome.For decades, Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome was largely undisturbed by the passage of any intruders except the resident farmer, his workers and time.This means that a thriving and diverse range of flora and fauna has had time to settle in and make themselves comfortable!Even now, with the site a bustling hive of activity, the Charity takes the care and conservation of its ecology very seriously indeed - as a member of the Natural England Stewardships Scheme and as a Conservation Zone.Now, you have a chance to join us and enjoy it!Our Family Nature Days give visitors a chance to enjoy this side of Stow - as well as all the usual Museum exhibitions and activities.This autumn half term we have a special Family Nature Day focusing on our woodland areas, so if you fancy an alternative to endless Halloween pumpkins, come and join our Wildlife Team for a drop-in day of woodland-themed activities!Included within the standard admission price, you can enjoy activities including a mini-beast safari, leaf trail, leaf and bark rubbings, autumn/woodland themed craft activities, fungi hunting, learning about hornets, and even dissecting some owl pellets to find out what our birds of prey have been having for their dinner!Wear warm clothes and sensible footwear as activities will be outside in the woods come rain or shine!
