GIUSEPPE MORENA Giuseppe Morena has been part of the UK electronic music scene since the early ’90s — largely behind the scenes, but consistently influential. He began producing in 1990 during the acid house era, developing a deep connection to both the creative and technical sides of music. A defining early influence was Malcolm Smith (Underworld’s technical lead), who provided hands-on studio training — from cabling and troubleshooting to managing high-pressure technical failures. That grounding became central to his career. As one half of Self Preservation Society, he produced official remixes for a wide range of major artists including The Human League, Dave Stewart, Dina Carroll, Simply Red, Gary Barlow, Robert Owens, Doug Lazy, Eternal, and Alabama 3 — most notably Sunscreem, a standout collaboration that remains a key highlight of his remix work.
