- **Event Description**: Join us at George Washington Carver Park on January 20th for a World Wetlands Day Pre-Party! World Wetlands day is February 2nd, but we are kicking things off a little early.

Wetlands play a massive role in our local environment, so drop in between 9 am and 12 pm to celebrate these ecosystems and do some hands-on work to help them thrive. We will be making native seed bombs to throw into the wetland, and you can take a few home for your own garden, too! Be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, we will be playing with mud.

Our Naturalist Kayla will be on-site to lead the event and explain how these areas support our community. It’s a great way to get the whole family outside and we will have light refreshments available for those who attend, courtesy of Brother's Bagel (while supplies last).
