Come celebrate the longest night of the year with us on our annual Winter Solstice Glow Walk! Both kids and adults will get to experience a whole new side to one of our regular meetup locations and learn a little bit about the natural cycles of our solar system. Night walking is also a great way to make new discoveries that excite the senses. Glow sticks and other fun lights will be provided (amount will depend on attendance) but also feel free to bring some of your own.

Requirements: ALL attendees MUST have a 2024 waiver on file. Forms for minors are to be completed by a legal guardian.

We will meet next to the end of the first gravel parking lot to the left (just past the bridge and crosswalk) as you enter Camp Jordan from Ringgold Road. This event starts at 5:00 pm. We'll begin our walk around the track at about 5:30 and remain on the paved path for the duration of the event. We should make it back around by 7:00 or a little after.
Appropriate cold weather clothing is highly recommended for both adults and children. Layers with coats, hats, scarfs, gloves, and warm shoes will help to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable evening for everyone. If this is an obstacle for anyone, please let us know ahead of time and we'll do our best to bring things for you to borrow so your family can attend in comfort. Some other items you might consider bringing include a flashlight, warm drinks and/or snacks, and a child carrier/stroller/wagon for little ones.
All guardians must remain with and are responsible for their own children at all times. By attending this event, you accept all possible risks for yourself and children and acknowledge that facilitators and other members are not liable for any damages including but not limited to injuries, illnesses, lost or damaged property, etc.
