Although homeschooling became legal in the state of Tennessee through a series of legal actions taken back in the 1980s, the need to empower parents to care for the well-being of their children’s educations, regardless of the path they take, still remains today.
We will continue our monthly educational event series with a talk on the history of homeschooling in Tennessee led by homeschooling pioneers Stuart and Tamie Goggins.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Chattanooga Public Library First Floor Auditorium.
Regarding the goal for the event Stuart Goggins said, “We are very aware of the history of homeschooling and do want to share from the adventure of that experience. But our main goal is for our community to more effectively empower parents to steward each child’s education and chart the best course for each child, regardless of what form that education takes.” The Gogginses readily recognize homeschooling is not for every family, but that every family can be empowered to play an active role in each child’s education. They invite you to come, connect and be empowered.
All ages and backgrounds are invited to come and enjoy.
