- **Event Description**: Music at St. Paul’s concludes its 2025-26 Artist Series with a solo recital by acclaimed American organist, Dr. Patrick Scott, performing a completely improvised recital based on St. Paul’s historic stained glass windows. The concert takes place on Friday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 305 West Seventh at Pine Street, in downtown Chattanooga. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the St. Paul’s website, as well as at the door on the night of the concert. For more information, go to: https://www.stpaulschatt.org/artist-series.Dr. Patrick Scott is currently the Organist and Choirmaster at Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tennessee. He is recognized as one of the prominent organists of his generation, having won both the first prize and the audience prize in the American Guild of Organists’ National Competition in Organ Improvisation held at the 2014 AGO National Convention. An active recitalist and accompanist, Dr. Scott has appeared in concert and with choirs throughout the United States, as well as in France, Scotland, England, and Ireland. He has presented recitals, workshops, hymn festivals, and masterclasses for conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the Organ Historical Society, the American Choral Director’s Association, the Royal School of Church Music, and the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. He has been heard on Pipedreams Live! and Houston based, PipeWorks radio programs. Prior to his appointment in Memphis, he served churches in Atlanta, Charlotte, Austin, and Tuscaloosa. Christian Crocker, Director of Music, comments, “We are delighted to bring the brilliant organist Dr. Patrick Scott to Chattanooga to perform on our magnificent Casavant organ. A master of art of improvisation, he will present a fully improvised, that is to say spontaneous and in the moment, performance based on the images in the historic stained glass windows surrounding the St. Paul’s sanctuary. Our aim in the Artist Series at St. Paul’s is to present performances of the highest quality, reflecting the beauty of our great Creator in artistry. We hope you will join us to experience this glorious music in our beautiful space.“
