Whether you're brand new to the sport or simply looking to build your skills, Outdoor Chattanooga's FREE Learn and Play Disc Golf class is the perfect introduction. Disc golf combines the challenge of golf with the fun of throwing a flying disc, making it an enjoyable activity for individuals, families, and friends.

During this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, Outdoor Chattanooga's experienced instructors will help you:

Learn the basic rules and flow of the game
Understand the different types of discs and how to choose the right one
Practice essential throwing techniques, including driving, approaching, and putting
Build confidence through guided instruction and on-course practice
Learn proper course etiquette and safety

The course is mostly shaded, providing a comfortable setting for learning and playing. All equipment is provided, so all you need to bring is comfortable clothing, water, and a willingness to have fun.  Walking distance is less than 1 mile to play 9 holes.

By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and confidence to enjoy one of the many disc golf courses throughout the Chattanooga area. With more than a dozen local courses to explore, you'll be ready to continue playing, improving your game, and connecting with the area's welcoming disc golf community.

This class is most appropriate for ages 9 and up- all ages are welcome.  Registration is best for communication; however, walk up play is accepted.  Youth must be accompanied by an adult.  Rain cancels.
