About the event

Julie, the Queer that Saved Christmas
✨ Seed Theatre Presents: Julie, The Queer that Saved Christmas ✨

December 12 & 13, 2025 • Barking Legs Theater

Seed Theatre’s beloved holiday tradition returns! Join us for Julie, The Queer that Saved Christmas — a heartfelt, queer-centered story about family, identity, and rediscovering the true meaning of love during the holidays. Written by trans icon Brianna Jean, and brought back annually as our queer holiday staple, Julie is a beautiful, heartwarming story about reuniting family, and finding connections between religious parents and their queer children.

Follow the Mitchell family as they reunite with their adult child, Tiffany, a young trans woman returning home for the first time in years. Through humor, tenderness, conflict, and growth, the family learns what it means to truly show up for one another. This emotional, uplifting story celebrates acceptance, queer resilience, and the power of embracing loved ones exactly as they are.

Come laugh, cry, and celebrate community with us during this annual Chattanooga holiday favorite.
