Intro to Breastfeeding- The Best Start for You and Your Baby

Welcome to our Intro to Breastfeeding class! In this session, we'll explore the numerous benefits of breastfeeding for both you and your baby, diving into how nursing works such as understanding hunger cues and newborn instincts. We'll cover essential topics like proper latching techniques, the different types of breast milk and how it changes over time, as well as ways to ensure your baby is getting enough milk. Lastly, we'll discuss the supplies you'll need for successful breastfeeding and provide information about our local resources in the Chattanooga area to support you on your breastfeeding journey. Join us to gain confidence and knowledge in nurturing your little one through breastfeeding.

This class is presented by the La Leche League of Chattanooga. Your facilitator has been nursing and/or pregnant for the last 10 years. She has served as a volunteer with the La Leche League for the past 5 years helping many parents in our area.

Partners are welcome to attend. There will be time for questions and answers following the class. Participants will receive gift bags with breastfeeding supplies.
